The entire State Data Center complex, as a facility of importance to the Republic of Serbia, is secured by the Ministry of Interior on a 24/7/365 basis.

Access to the facility is permitted only to authorized persons, in accordance with defined access zones and identification procedures. Entry to the complex is subject to prior approval and issuance of ID cards.

Visits to the Data Center must be announced no later than 48 hours before the planned arrival, except in emergency cases. Visit requests are approved through a portal, with the access link provided upon request at: info@dct.rs.

The technical security system provides continuous monitoring of all key points inside the facility and along the perimeter of the complex, with more than 300 IP cameras. Perimeter protection is implemented using thermal imaging cameras, visible-spectrum cameras, PTZ cameras and IR cameras for external protection, enabling monitoring of the outdoor area and timely detection of potential security risks.

The system also includes cameras covering internal zones of the facility, as well as integrated intrusion detection systems and access control systems. This enables centralized monitoring and management of security systems through the Operations Center.

Access to the technical area of the facility is provided through interlocking portals, which serve as controlled access points between different security zones of the Data Center.

Passing through the interlocking portals is mandatory when entering and exiting the technical area. During passage, automated control of the entry and removal of permitted items is performed, further enhancing access control and protection of critical infrastructure.

Access to the keys of dedicated racks is managed through a dedicated key distribution cabinet, protected by a controlled access system.

With valid identification and verified access rights, a user may retrieve only the key assigned to their rack. Each access is recorded by the system and monitored by video surveillance, ensuring full traceability, control and an additional level of security.

The entire facility is covered by a stable fire detection and alarm system, designed to enable timely risk identification and reduce the possibility of fire occurrence.

IT modules are additionally protected by an early fire detection system, which continuously samples the air and detects the possible presence of smoke particles as an early indicator of a potential fire.

All key points of the facility, including IT modules, are covered by a fire suppression activation system. Fire suppression is performed using Novec™ 1230 gas, intended for the protection of sensitive IT equipment and areas where maintaining infrastructure continuity is essential.

This fire suppression system is safe for people and equipment and is applied in accordance with prescribed procedures. From an environmental perspective, it does not damage the ozone layer in the event of release into the atmosphere.
